Ultimate Reality Law # 30

We are Spiritual Beings having a Human Experience. If we concede to human nature, we resign ourselves to being less than we really are.
Cynthia Davidson, excerpt from Ultimate Reality card
(cards, stones, posters & more available via www.thewisdomwheel.com)

So, how about doing a big reality check with me over the next ten days? Your reality, my reality, our reality, the Big Picture, the macro and the micro, how much reality are we dealing with? If you want your reality to improve, you need to change your perception of it and your relationship with it.
Ultimate Reality includes everything, what some call the All That Is, Absolute or Infinite Reality. I like to imagine it as a vast playing field, far grander than our physical senses can appreciate. By realizing we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we can free ourselves from the ego tyranny of merely ‘human nature’ and enter that playing field
Ultimate Reality is not limited by time or space. It is spiritual and energetic. It is the souls realm, where we can comprehend the Sacred Oneness it All.
There are so many levels of human and universal consciousness to explore within Ultimate Reality. To do this we have to expand and evolve; mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Together, with all our combined thoughts, feelings and intentions, we are constantly reshaping and recreating this Ultimate Reality. Fear is counterproductive and contracting when facing such vast wholeness, but responsibility and Compassion are welcome.
What is your part to play during this lifetime?
Where is your place in all of this?
Bring up the subject of Ultimate Reality with friends and family this week, and talk about what happens when people refuse to face reality. Why is denial so popular?
Whether it's conspiracy theories, propaganda, the lack of facts, education or the easily swayed emotions that get in the way, why don't you volunteer to speak up on behalf of Ultimate Reality for the next ten days at least?
From the swirl of stars and planets, in faraway galaxies, to the whorls at the end of our fingertips, the Circle repeats itself, endlessly right down to the atomic and genetic levels. These wheels within Wheels, these concentric, interlocking spirals of energy hint at the style and substance of Ultimate RealityHere's some wisdom to get your conversations started with others.

Australian aborigines describe Ultimate Reality as the Dream Time. This is where the Laws that govern their lives come from, a Time beyond any individual lifetime. The Rainbow Serpent guards the Dream Time.
KUN-MAN-GUR THE RAINBOW SERPENT : An Aboriginal Myth. Rainbow Serpent by Oodgeroo Noonuccal and Kabul Oodgeroo Noonuccal

To a large degree ‘reality’ is whatever the people who are around at the time agree to.
Milton Miller

To deny the reality of things is to miss their reality;
to assert the emptiness of things is to miss their reality.
The more you talk and think about it, the further astray you wander from the truth.
Stop talking and thinking and there is nothing you will not be able to know.
Hsin Hsin Ming

The emotional virus lives and thrives in the gap between expectations and perceived reality.
Doc Childre and Bruce Cryer, From Chaos to Coherence

One can never really give a proof of the reality of anything; reality is not something open to proof, it is something established. It is established just because proof is not enough. It is this characteristic of language, at once indispensable and inadequate, which shows the reality of the external world. Most people hardly ever realize this, because it is rare that the very same man thinks and puts his thought into action...
Simone Weil , LP, p. 72-3

Art is our opportunity to get things right. To tell the truth. To find the ultimate reality
Jeanette Winterson

Man keeps searching for a truth that fits his reality. Given our reality, the Truth doesn't fit.
Werner Erhard

The supreme experience is staggering, enrapturing, blissful, and inspiring, but at the same time inexplicable and ungraspable by the intellect. The experience is supremely illuminating because it reveals the grandeur, sublimity and the eternal nature of the soul, but beyond that -- what? All that is beyond lies out of the reach of the intellect, and hence cannot be translated into any language devised by the mind.
Gopi Krishna

To surrender to God’s will is to surrender to the truth that nothing other than the Ultimate Reality is permanent… The pathway to Enlightenment via radical truth is demanding and requires the surrendering of all belief systems. Only then does the Ultimate Reality reveal itself as the sought-after “I” of the Supreme
Dr. David Hawkins, American psychiatrist, physician, researcher, mystic and pioneer in the fields of consciousness research and spirituality

When light is visible and organized into concrete objects, reality is material.
When light contains feeling, thought and intelligence, reality is quantum.
When light is completely unmanifest, with no qualities anyone can measure, reality is virtual.
Deepak Chopra in his book How To Know God

Each religion has its own method of realization whereby the ultimate reality, the final self, the integrating principle is reached.
D. T. Suzuki in his book What Is Shin Buddhism?

Immortality Law # 29

When you know you have forever, you can afford to be patient, to be kind, to be loving and forgiving. What might be different if you knew your spirit was Eternal?
Cynthia Davidson, excerpt from Immortality card
(cards, stones, posters & more available via www.thewisdomwheel.com)

What else beside our souls or spirits could last forever? Surely not our egos, our bodies, or our minds, which are all designed to perish. As you consider Immortality for the next 10 days, review your beliefs in concepts like reincarnation. Although it exists in many religious traditions and cultures, you may not put much stock in reincarnation unless you've experienced a past life review of some kind.
In the 2012 film, Cloud Atlas, based upon David Mitchell's book of the same title, you can see what one man imagines Immortality to be like, at least for his main character, who reincarnates over and over, going from lives in colonial times through to a post-apocalyptic era, with lessons in every lifetime.
Since our beliefs have such powerful effects upon our behaviors, and death can make us so fearful, the belief in Immortality can be a two edged sword. On the one hand, believing in the idea of reincarnation can free you, somewhat, from the physical fears of death and the tyranny of the ego personality, but it can also cause other anxieties. Because we can get so attached, to particular people, places, and ethnicities, our fears about losing those identities can be as great as the terrors of dying itself, unless we learn to embrace such radical change.

As you bring up the subject of Immortality with friends and family in the coming ten days, mention mortality too, its opposite. Then ask if anyone has had an 'out of the body' experience. Unless we have have seen ourselves from outside of our bodies, we may find it hard to believe that our spirits do indeed transcend the limitations of our vulnerable, perishable bodies.

Ask yourself, and others, what deserves Immortality? And why some ideas, archetypes, and stories seem immortal? As the centuries pass, why do some remain alive in the hearts and minds of people, while others are forgotten?

Forever is not a frame of reference we work with, on a daily basis, so we don’t know much about it.  What would you do with eternity? Many people can’t figure out what to do on a rainy weekend. How would they spend forever?
The next time you feel stressed out, trying to do too much in a single day, think about the vast endlessness of eternity, and relax, you do have a lot more time ahead.
Here are some quotes about Immortality from those who've considered its meanings.

You who long for life, learn that immortality is hidden in transiency.
Buddha

Immortality is accomplished by a "proper Mind," or "mental correctness" based upon the "understanding" of the Seven Hermetic Principles of Universal Cosmic Law that enables the human Mind to manipulate the atomic particles of their own bodies and the surrounding environment.   When a person can do these things, he or she has accomplished the mastery of Life of which a few individuals are already living in this aspect of Mental reality.
J. R. Seydel, author http://www.pymander.com/AETHEREAL/IMMOR~1.htm

Those who know, not only that the Everlasting lives in them, but that what they, and all things, really are is the Everlasting, dwell in the groves of the wish-fulfilling trees, drink the brew of immortality, and listen everywhere to the unheard music of eternal concord. These are the immortals.
Joseph Campbell

If you were to destroy the belief in immortality in mankind, not only love but every living force on which the continuation of all life in the world depended, would dry up at once.
Fyodor Dostoevsky

Death and immortality are an indissoluble pair of lovers, and the person whose face merges in our mind with the faces of the dead, is already immortal while still alive.
Milan Kundera

We are living and we are dying. Not either/or but both/and. That’s mortality turning into Immortality…
Deborah Cumming in her book Recovering From Mortality: Essays From A Cancer Limbo Time

We do not believe in immortality because we can prove it, but we try to prove it because we cannot help believing it.
Harriet Martineau

In our desire for eternal life we pray for an eternity of our habit and comfort, forgetting that immortality is in repeatedly transcending the definite forms of life in order to pursue the infinite truth of life… Let the dead have the immortality of fame, but the living the immortality of love.
Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941)

Immortality is a word which stands for the stability or permanence of that unique and precious quality we discern in the soul.
W. Macneile Dixon, The Human Situation

Immortality – who ever has grasped it,
Is delivered from all burdens of the soul.
Frithjof Schuon in World Wheel

The truth is that we live out our lives putting off all that can be put off; perhaps we all know deep down that we are immortal and that sooner or later all men will do and know all things.
Jorge Luis Borges

Each of us is immortal.
Dr. Brian Weiss, well-known psychiatrist & author, books include Same Soul, Many Bodies

Giving & Receiving Law # 28

If we realized it was equally sacred to Give as to Receive, would we practice being more generous with each other? The Earth gives us everything, so abundantly… How grateful are we?
Cynthia Davidson, excerpt from Giving & Receiving card
(cards, stones, posters & more available via www.thewisdomwheel.com)

As you receive this Law, give yourself as much time as you need, for the next ten days (at least), to generate as many questions as you can about all aspects of Giving & Receiving. What happens when you give your heart, for instance? And by what mysterious Process do we receive someone's Love?
Get intimate as you dig into your psyche. Consider your internal system of weights and measures. Do you believe you have given more than you've received? How did you come to this conclusion? By what method of accounting?
Unfortunately, if our giving has strings, and is not done in a free will way, resentments tend to come back to haunt us, and can poison our relationships as well as our offerings of money, time, and goodwill.
And when the shoe is on the other foot, and we are feeling entitled, and more deserving, where do those ideas and feelings come from? Some of us have difficulty even receiving a sincere compliment. What causes that?
As you explore this Law more deeply, you'll find we have some strange ideas about Giving & Receiving. Obligations, gratitude, favors, we have so many unwritten, unspoken, and unacknowledged beliefs about these transactions. What we assume and what we expect in return, are rarely discussed, only implied.

In these individualistic United States, we don't like feeling obligated. Even when it comes to being generous, most find it easier to donate money to a cause, than to give directly to a person in need. Why do we have organized charities acting as our 'middlemen' when it comes to giving? What makes us feel so uncomfortable when facing poverty, fears and the needs of others?

Don't forget to bring up the concept of Giving & Receiving with family and friends in the coming days. Here's some wisdom about Giving & Receiving for you to share with others.

The universe operates through dynamic exchange . . . giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.
Deepak Chopra

Give with pleasure without expecting anything in return… you will be activating the Law of Giving, which will in turn activate the Law of Circle and the Law of Receiving. This means that your good deeds will be making the circle and will be coming back to you tenfold stronger… But for this you need to be in a mode of receiving as well. Be prepared with wide open arms to the abundance that the universe will shower on you. The return might not be immediate and not from the same source that you gave to, but return it will. The energy will return to you because according to the law, the circle must close.
Margo Kirtikar, Ph.D.

A generous man forgets what he gives and remembers what he receives.
Proverb

If nature has made you a giver, your hands are born open, and so is your heart. And though there may be times when your hands are empty, your heart is always full, and you can give things out of that.
Frances Hodgson Burnett

He has the right to criticize who has the heart to help
Abraham Lincoln

The difference between a helping hand and an outstretched palm is a twist of the wrist.
Laurence Leamer, King of the Night

Whatever you think the world is withholding from you, you are withholding from the world.… Whatever you think people are withholding from you--praise, appreciation, assistance, loving care, and so on--give it to them.…You cannot receive what you don't give. Outflow determines inflow.
Eckhart Tolle German author books include The Power of Now

You cannot hold on to anything good. You must be continually giving - and getting. You cannot hold on to your seed. You must sow it - and reap anew. You cannot hold on to riches. You must use them and get other riches in return.
Robert Collier

Water is the life-giver and the death-bringer.
Michael Scott

Life is ever giving of Itself. We must receive, utilize and extend the gift. Success and prosperity are spiritual attributes belonging to all people.
Ernest Holmes

Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.
C.G. Jung

There are two kinds of generosity - the real and the shadow; the former is prompted by love, the latter by vanity.
Hazrat Inayat Khan, Sufi sage

True generosity consists precisely in fighting to destroy the causes which nourish false charity.
Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, 1970

All we have to do is to receive what we are given...We are given the naturalness to love someone, to be calm in crisis, to ignore self-defeating suggestions, to be pleasant, forgiving, tender, helpful, unworried, brave, energetic.
Vernon Howard from The Power of Your Supermind

There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life -- happiness, freedom, and peace of mind -- are always attained by giving them to someone else.
Peyton Conway March

Sacrifice is giving up something good for something better.
Unknown

You may give away your time, for example, and it comes back to you much later from an unexpected source in an unexpected form in a way that benefits you greatly. You cannot insist on a particular way and time it will come back to you, but you can be assured it will come back in the best way for you…. Learn also to receive graciously and happily. Do not feel uncomfortable receiving. You deserve it and by receiving, you are in harmony with the law of giving and receiving.
David Cameron Gikandi in his book A Happy Pocket Full of Money
